Geocentric AOIs

McCool, Bob

I need to have an AOI that is georeferenced so that it can move with the data in the scene.  I have tried calling the GraphicElement::setGeocentric method on an AOI element, but it fails.  The documentation on this method only says that the objects parent must be a georeferenced RasterElement.  Does this method need to be called before any objects are added to the GraphicElement?  If the AOI element is set to geocentric mode, does it listen for the raster elements signalGeoreferenceModified signal like an annotation layer?

Calling AoiElement::setGeocentric() does not work.  If you look at the implementation you will see that it always returns false.  Only AnnotationElement’s can be put into geocentric mode.

Thanks,

Kip
